RideView Companion is a versatile and powerful tool for a driver or installer to interact with dash cams powered by the RideView video telematics platform. It automatically senses and connects to dash cams in its vicinity to help with: - Installing dash cams by observing the preview from road and driver-facing cameras - Viewing incidents and scorecards, improvement in their performance over time, and other analytics - Completing coaching sessions by reviewing videos shortlisted by fleet managers for review - Disputing incidents where you were not at fault - Accessing critical device diagnostics when troubleshooting dash cam issues in the field - Set the APN for the SIM - Obtain driver consent to record audio in the dash cam - Enrol images for face recognition. The face crop images submitted are for associating the driver’s face to his/her login/driverId. RideView platform compares the enrolled images (collected through the app) and the images obtained from the dash cam during the actual drive/trip. The objective is to be able to recognize and verify that the person driving the vehicle is indeed the person corresponding to the driverId.
