Shoresearch vs Havenwise

The Shoresearch app is the perfect way to easily add your marine data from Wildlife Trust Shoresearch surveys. Shoresearch is The Wildlife Trusts’ national citizen science survey program of the intertidal shore, the exciting world of extremes where the sea meets the land. It’s a great way to explore your local coast, learn more about the wildlife found there and add to our understanding of this important habitat. There are four different surveys which collect valuable marine data that can be used to designate and monitor Marine Protected Areas, contribute to scientific research, assess planning applications and even monitor long-term changes in the marine environment, such as the effects of pollution, climate change and invasive alien species! Volunteers are trained by local Wildlife Trusts to identify and record the wildlife on shores across the UK. Want to be involved? Please contact your local Wildlife Trust and ask to become a Shoresearch Volunteer, we can't wait for you to join us!

Havenwise is an easy-to-use control and optimisation system for your heat pump. Connect via our app in just a few minutes, no installer needed. We connect directly to your internet-connected heat pump, so most users need no extra hardware. Havenwise automatically learns how your home heats up and cools down. Our smart software takes into account your energy tariff, local weather, and your comfort to keep your home warm and water hot for the lowest possible bill. Havenwise works great with time-of-use tariffs to shift your heating out of expensive peak periods and into the cheapest times of day. For homes with solar panels, we can shift usage to warmer and sunnier periods. For batteries, time-of-use optimisation can be toggled on and off depending on your preference, to take advantage of tariffs or keep your heat pump running low and slow for maximum efficiency. Our support is always available to answer questions and keep you informed and confident about your home heating needs.
