Patch List Calculator (PLC) is a professional tool built by a lighting technician for industry experts. Forget about manual address calculations on paper or returning to your laptop just to check CAD details. PLC is your mobile assistant during prep and setup. Features designed to speed up and simplify your workflow: 1. VISUAL DMX MAP -Clear universe overview in a 16x32 grid (512 channels). -Instant patching and real-time conflict control. -Intuitive drag & drop functionality and color-coded fixture types. 2. MVR AND GDTF STANDARDS -Direct project import from Vectorworks, Capture, Wysiwyg, and grandMA3 via MVR files. -Full GDTF support – the app automatically analyzes the fixture structure and its footprint (DMX channel count). -Support for complex devices: multi-break, sub-heads, and advanced DMX modes. 3. INTERACTIVE 2D PLOT -Visualize fixture placement in X, Y, and Z axes. -Z Filter (Height): Isolate specific trusses or structures to focus only on the section currently being rigged. -Measurement Tools: Check distances between fixtures directly on the plot (linear and point-to-point) with a snap-to-fixture (magnet) feature. 4. MANAGEMENT AND MORPHING -Batch editing: Quickly change addresses, ID numbers (FID), or fixture types for entire groups. -Multi-universe support with smooth and fluid navigation. 5. TECHNICIAN’S TOOLBOX -Checklist: Physically check off each rigged and addressed fixture to ensure everything is ready. -DIP Switch Calculator: Essential for older fixtures still working on stages. -Database Sync: Connect your own fixture list via URL (manufacturer, model, modes, DMX footprint). The app requires no login and is completely ad-free. Once MVR files and the database are imported, the tool works fully offline, which is crucial in concert and festival environments. This is a pure technical tool created for one purpose: to eliminate patching errors and maximize your workflow speed. Install Patch List Calculator and take full control of your patch.
