Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iDocument Scanner at 100% against Table Notes Spreadsheet maker's 56%. iDocument Scanner also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). Table Notes Spreadsheet maker's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Table Notes Spreadsheet maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Table Notes Spreadsheet maker has 1.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Table Notes Spreadsheet maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of iDocument Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Table Notes Spreadsheet maker ships an update every 5 days, iDocument Scanner every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
