Input the flight's start time, and time, and the transition time (length of time allotted between rest blocks for pilots to switch places). Then select whether there will be a total of 3 or 4 rest blocks. If there are 3 rest blocks, simply hit the "Calculate" button and your crew rest schedule will be created for you. If there are 4 rest blocks (2 shorter blocks and 2 longer blocks), then first select whether you would like to specify the length of the short block, the length of the long block, or the ratio between the short and long blocks (short = __% of long). Then input the value, and finally select one of four possible sequences of short and long blocks. Hit "Calculate" and the app will do the rest, displaying exactly what your crew rest schedule will be. Read full description

CrewRest+ is an application designed for flight crew members, both cockpit and cabin crew, operating long-haul flights. It is a rest scheduling calculator (and duty-service scheduling for cabin crew) that provides a simple and efficient flight timeline, displaying the duration, start time, and end time of each rest and/or duty-service period based on the entered data. Several scenarios can be selected, such as splitting the total duration into 3 equal rest periods, or 4, or even 6. Some airline-specific scenarios have been requested by pilots and are also available in the scenario catalog: Cathay, Virgin, Swiss, and Air New Zealand options. Breaks between rest periods are defined by the user. For cabin crew, breaks before rest periods and before duty periods can be set differently. Once the timeline is displayed, durations can be adjusted according to the actual flight context (except for the airline-specific scenarios mentioned above). The timeline can also be shared as a PNG image with other crew members. The application is available on both iPhone and iPad. --- Note : The app includes a free trial allowing up to 5 timeline calculations, with full access to all features. After these 5 calculations have been used, continued access to the app and its features requires an auto-renewable annual subscription priced at $6.99 per year. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings under “Subscriptions“. This application uses Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA) : https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
