The CHECK-AT app is your digital companion for an easy verification of the new Austrian passport and ID card. With the app, check the QR code and other security features on the new passport generation easily and securely. Simple verification - without any need for technical expertise: In addition to the convenient QR code check, the CHECK-AT app guides you step by step through verifying individual security features on the new Austrian passport and ID card. Using examples, the CHECK-AT app allows you to thoroughly examine the digital and physical security features of the new passport generation and ID card – even without any special expertise. Local verification without retrieving personal data from the internet: During the QR code check, the information contained in the QR code is only displayed on the verifying device. The relevant information is directly included in the QR code and is not retrieved from a database. The app connects to the internet during the startup process to check the availability of new certificates necessary for the correct and secure verification of the QR code. If new certificates are available, the app automatically downloads them to the device in use. Furthermore, the app does not connect to the internet at any other time. No personal data is retrieved from the internet or uploaded to the internet.

Scannen Sie dazu einfach den QR-Code, den Ihr Gegenüber vorweist, und erhalten Sie dadurch alle nötigen Informationen auf Ihrem Gerät. So funktioniert’s: 1. Laden Sie die App „eAusweis Check“ kostenlos herunter. Sie ist ohne Anmeldung oder Registrierung nutzbar. 2. Erlauben Sie der App Zugriff auf die Kamera und Bluetooth. 3. Wählen Sie, welchen Nachweis Sie prüfen möchten. 4. Ihr Gegenüber weist den digitalen Nachweis mithilfe der App „eAusweise“ in Form eines QR-Codes vor. Scannen Sie diesen mit der App „eAusweis Check“: Dadurch werden Ihnen die aktuellen Daten direkt auf Ihrem Smartphone angezeigt. Durch die Verknüpfung mit der ID Austria sind die digitalen Nachweise fälschungssicher. Es ist keine Anmeldung in der App erforderlich.
