About

RetinAid Tabletop

Features

RetinAid Tabletop can identify and sight describe cards from many popular board and card games. Start by adding a supported game into your in-app library using the barcode on the game box. Then simply place the front face of a card around ten centimeters (around four inches) from your phone camera, facing the camera, and the app will describe the cardโ€™s functionality in the game for you. RetinAid Tabletop's mission is to make the world of boardgaming accessible to the blind and sight impaired. This is a free tech preview version that is meant to introduce this new technology to gamers. Later versions will include a form of monetization for usage. More info can be found on the website www.retinaid.net, including the list of the currently supported games.

About

VoiceGammon

VoiceGammon brings Portes โ€” one of the three traditional Greek backgammon games โ€” to everyone, with particular care for VoiceOver accessibility. Play Portes: โ€ข Against the computer, โ€ข with a second player on the same device, โ€ข online with a friend or random opponent through Game Center. The board is fully explorable with VoiceOver. Every point announces its area, checker color, and checker count, while available moves are offered as accessible actions. The magic tap reports the match status, dice, bar, borne-off checkers, and useful positional information. Spatial sounds help you follow movement around the board through headphones and the device speakers. VoiceGammon also includes automatic game saving, undo before ending a turn, personal statistics, and Greek or English interfaces. There are no ads or in-app purchases.
