SCAPE

Natural processes and climate change are putting Scotlandβs coastal heritage at risk β but you can help us to manage the threat. The SCAPE coastal archaeology recording app allows you to: β’ Discover archaeological sites at the coast on the go. β’ Carry out surveys of known archaeological sites. β’ Create records about new discoveries. By registering as a volunteer, you can use the coastal archaeology recording app to find out information about coastal archaeological sites near you and to contribute your observations on their condition. You can also add records about your new discoveries of archaeological sites or objects. Your contributions form a valuable record of change to coastal archaeological sites and coastlines. We use your information to prioritise action at the most vulnerable and significant sites - and answer wider questions about where, and how, Scotlandβs heritage is being affected by coastal processes and the impacts of climate change. We moderate your submitted records before adding them to the database and publishing them on the website map and the app. You can get more details and see photographs of coastal heritage sites through the Sites at Risk Map portal on the SCAPE website www.scapetrust.org/sites-at-risk/

Uncover previously invisible sites of Jewish life in Germany, Poland and Serbia. Teenagers from across Europe investigated the Centropa archive, as well as other historical sources, to research Jewish biographies from their towns and cities. With the guidance of local artists, they created graphic novels, interviews, audio recordings, animations, films and many other projects to retell the stories of those who might once have been their neighbors. Together we aim to anchor formerly invisible places of Jewish life as new places of remembrance.Β The project was developed by Centropa β Zentrum fΓΌr jΓΌdische Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts e.V, Galicia Jewish Museum in Krakow, berlinHistory App, an open digital platform for history and CEP (Centre for Education Policy), an independent multidisciplinary research center. MemoryLanes is a project by the Education Agenda NS-Injustice funded by EVZ Foundation and the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) based on a decision by the Bundestag.
