Decibel Meter Detector is a sound level meter for iPhone and iPad. Measure everyday environmental noise at home, in an office, while studying or during travel, and keep a record of how sound changes over time. MEASURE AND UNDERSTAND SOUND See live decibel readings, an energy-based average (Leq), maximum levels and sound-level charts. Switch between a simple view and professional statistics, including A/C/Z frequency weighting, Fast/Slow/Impulse response and frequency analysis. COMPARE BEFORE AND AFTER Measure two conditions with a guided workflow: open versus closed windows, equipment on versus off, or two locations. Review the measured difference with input, calibration and data-completeness checks. KEEP USEFUL REPORTS Choose general, sleep, office, study or traffic reports. Review time distributions and loud events, add names, tags and notes, and share CSV data, report images or PDF reports. Timed measurements and optional background measurement support longer sessions. DO I HAVE TO SAVE AUDIO? No. Choose sound-level data only, short event clips or a complete recording. Measurements and recordings are stored on your device. Optional Apple Health integration writes environmental sound exposure when you enable it. CAN A PHONE REPLACE A PROFESSIONAL SOUND LEVEL METER? No. Accuracy depends on the microphone, calibration and surroundings. Very quiet sound may fall below the measurable range. This app provides everyday reference, not certified measurements for legal evidence, workplace compliance or hearing diagnosis.
