Seating Chart

Type the names. Add the rules. Get a chart. Seat these two together. Keep apart the two who should not share a table. Fix someone to the head table. Keep someone off table three. The solver takes those rules and assigns every seat around them. It tells you who it could not seat. Other seating apps hand you a grid and let you drag names. When the room does not work, they stay quiet. This one names the person: "Kira Lund could not be placed at Table 3 — it is full." That is a sentence you can act on. You add a seat, drop a rule, or decide it is fine. Pinned seats stay put. Long-press any seat to pin it. Solve again, change the tables, add ten more guests — the seats you fixed do not move. The most common complaint about the best-reviewed app in this category is that it rearranges the layout on its own. This one cannot: pinning is the one thing the solver is not allowed to touch. No guest limit. Not on guests, not on tables, not on rules, not on events. There is no upgrade screen because there is nothing to upgrade to. The whole app is here. It is not only for weddings. 24 layout presets across weddings, classrooms, banquets, meetings, parties and community halls. Round tables, long banquet runs, U-shapes, classroom rows, bar counters. Every table can have its own shape and its own number of seats. Share the chart. One card with every table, every name, and how many rules held. Send it to the caterer, pin it to the classroom door, text it to the group. No account. Works in airplane mode. Guest names never leave your iPhone — nothing is uploaded, and the app asks for no permissions at all.

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: publicroam at 14.0 against Seating Chart's 17.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
