RiseReps is the alarm clock that won't let you cheat yourself. No snooze button. To turn off your morning alarm, do your reps: push-ups, squats, or jumping jacks, counted in real time by your camera. Skip them and it rings again. In Full Lockdown, Instagram, TikTok and your other distracting apps stay blocked the moment your alarm rings, and unlock when your workout is done. HOW IT WORKS Set your wake-up time, pick your exercise and repeat days, and try the camera rep counter during setup. When the alarm rings, prop up your phone and move. Your camera verifies every rep with on-device pose detection. Hit your number, dismiss the alarm, and start the day with a win. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T WAKE UP Heavy sleepers, chronic snoozers, and anyone trying to wake up early and build a morning workout routine. You can't half-wake-up through 15 push-ups. By the time the alarm stops, you're already up. CHOOSE YOUR STRICTNESS - Standard: rings again at +3, +8 and +12 minutes until you do your reps. - Persistent: re-rings for 14 minutes, then reminds you every minute until your reps are done. - Full Lockdown: distracting apps stay blocked until your reps are done (up to 3 hours), using Apple's Screen Time controls with your permission. AN ALARM YOU CAN TRUST Test my alarm runs a 10-second check of your alarm, sound and notification settings. If scheduling ever fails, you get a warning and a retry before your next alarm. And you're never trapped: a weekly emergency exit and a switch to squats are there if push-ups aren't counting. BUILT-IN PROGRESSION Start easy. Your rep count grows each week, turning one alarm into a real fitness habit. ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER AND ARENA Pair with a friend, see each other's streaks, and send a nudge when they need the push. Compete on daily and weekly Arena leaderboards with verified morning workouts, or keep yourself off the public boards. Optional iCloud features require an iCloud account. STATS AND STREAKS Track your streak, completed workouts, total reps, and wake-up times. Discipline you can see. YOUR PRIVACY Pose detection runs entirely on your device. Camera images and video are never recorded or uploaded. SUBSCRIPTIONS RiseReps Pro unlocks camera-verified alarm workouts, strictness modes, progression, the accountability partner, and stats. Choose a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription. The annual plan includes a three-day free trial for eligible customers. Prices and applicable offer terms appear before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or after an eligible free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Wakey at 4.7 against RiseReps's 4.0. Wakey also leads on ratings volume (130 vs 5) and review sentiment (82% vs 67%). RiseReps's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wakey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and RiseReps sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Wakey holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wakey has 130 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Wakey's written reviews are positive against 67% of RiseReps's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
