When playing bridge socially, the pair that is dealt the most points will often win. To compensate for this, the app can set a ‘target score‘ for each deal. The target score serves as a benchmark and represents the score a declarer should be able to make, based on their total high card points and, for more accuracy, also the suit and number of trumps. After each deal, the target score is deducted from the actual score.
