About

ComposerDeck

Features

Stuck staring at a blank track? ComposerDeck deals you a hand of musical challenges: a chord, a scale, a groove, a production trick, sometimes a Malus. Then you make something with it, in 20 minutes or over a weekend. Use it as a warm-up, a daily ritual or a way out of a rut. DRAW YOUR HAND More than 600 cards written by musicians, from beginner to expert. Pick a style, a number of cards and an optional Malus, then draw. Every card shows how rare it is (Common, Rare or Legendary) and every hand rates from Easy to Brutal. Lock the cards you love and redraw the rest. SIMPLE OR STUDIO Simple keeps the essentials. Studio puts every control around the same table: faders that steer the draw toward harmony, rhythm, sound or form, card types, decks, session length and notes. ADD A MALUS A Malus is a forbidden move. One Take. No Drums. Headphones Forbidden. It joins your hand, raises the difficulty and forces you to think sideways. DRAW FROM DECKS Load a curated deck (Songwriting Sprint, Chord Progression Starter, Odd Meters Bootcamp, Finish It) and pull your next hand from it. Build your own deck from any cards and share it with one link: your students or bandmates draw from it in one tap. HEAR WHAT OTHERS MADE Upload your take or paste a SoundCloud, YouTube, Spotify or Vimeo link. Every take stays tied to the hand it came from, so you can hear how someone else answered the same cards. Browse by Hot, New, Top, Following or Friends, and the player keeps going while you move around the app. THE WEEKLY CHALLENGE Once a week, everyone gets the same hand. Post your take and hear how the others answered it. The leaderboard shows who shares the most, who gets the most love and who takes on the toughest hands. ADD YOUR OWN CARD Got a card the deck is missing? Submit it. Once approved it joins the main deck, anyone can draw it, and your name goes with it. YOUR PROFILE A year of activity at a glance, your streak, the genres you lean on, and 20 badges to unlock as you draw, share and contribute. BUILT FOR MUSICIANS Producers, songwriters, beatmakers, composers, instrumentalists, singers, DAW lovers and hardware nerds. ComposerDeck doesn't make music for you. It gives you a starting point and gets out of the way. PRIVACY No ads, no ad tracking, and your data is never sold. Your takes stay yours and private profiles stay private everywhere. Draw without an account, or sign in with Apple or Spotify to keep your hands and favorites. Draw a hand. Make something. Share it. See you in the deck.
