About

ReadingScreen

Accurately identify Primary school children who would benefit from reading support, using our fast, fun and intuitive app for teachers and teaching assistants. Based on decades of University of Oxford research into reading development. ReadingScreen assessments consist of two tests measuring different reading skills. The first presents pupils with up to 60 individual words of increasing complexity. The second presents them with up to 34 nonwords. The pupil is asked to read each word or nonword out loud and their responses are marked for accuracy by the adult conducting the assessment. If they get 15 answers in a row incorrect, the test ends and they move onto the next test. Each assessment should take 10 minutes or less to complete. Assessments can be interrupted if necessary and will resume from the beginning of the most recent test. To launch an assessment, the adult conducting the assessment should scan the QR code for the pupil they want to assess. No personally identifiable information is stored on the device. At the end of an assessment, the data is uploaded to oxedandassessment.com for instant feedback and reports can be generated for classes or year groups. If no internet connection is available, the data can be stored on the device and uploaded at a later date. ReadingScreen is suitable for schools and organisations (UK and international) using English or Welsh as the medium of education.

About

Voice Assess

Features

Voice Assess helps teachers capture student assessment notes and visual evidence using just their voice β€” right in the middle of a lesson, in the gym, or while reviewing student work. Select a class, start recording, and speak your observations naturally. Want to capture visual evidence? Start with a photo or video of a student's work or physical technique, then speak your voice note directly over it. Voice Assess transcribes your speech entirely on-device, identifies which student you're talking about from your class list, and links the note and media together automatically. HOW IT WORKS β€’ Voice Only: Tap record and speak naturally: "Glen is stepping off the wrong foot during his throw. New note, Julia is catching with her hands in the correct position." Voice Assess automatically splits this into separate notes β€” one for Glen, one for Julia β€” each timestamped and linked. β€’ Media + Voice: Snap a photo of a student's worksheet or record a short video of their performance, then immediately record your voice observation. Voice Assess links your transcription directly to that piece of media and attributes it to the correct student. KEY FEATURES β€’ Record spoken observations hands-free while teaching β€’ Photo & video attachments β€” capture rich visual evidence of student work, physical technique, or projects β€’ Media-first workflow β€” start with a photo or video, then immediately record your voice observations directly over it β€’ On-device transcription β€” no internet required β€’ Automatic student attribution from spoken names β€’ Optional AI cleanup for notes and transcripts β€” tap to tidy grammar, punctuation, and messy speech-to-text wording; uses your class roster so names stay accurate; preview every change before you keep it β€’ AI cleanup runs on device with Apple Intelligence where supported β€” your note text isn’t sent to our servers or a cloud model β€’ Quick class setup via CSV import or pasted name lists β€’ Review and edit notes after class β€’ Browse complete note and media history by student or by session β€’ Export notes and attached media for your records β€’ Works with Bluetooth headsets for noisy environments β€’ Siri Shortcuts for fast access β€’ Works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac β€’ Syncs across iPad and iPhone when using the same Apple ID BUILT FOR PRIVACY All student data stays on your device. Voice Assess uses Apple's on-device speech recognition β€” your voice recordings are never sent to a server, and audio is automatically discarded after transcription. All attached photos, videos, and notes are stored securely on your device, ensuring total student privacy. When you choose AI cleanup, that processing stays on-device on supported hardware; nothing is uploaded for cleanup. Original wording is preserved until you accept a previewed cleanup. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party data sharing. DESIGNED FOR TEACHERS ON THE MOVE In the gym, on the field, in the workshop, or in the classroom β€” stop juggling clipboards, cameras, and typing on tiny keyboards. Just capture, talk, and teach.
