The clearest difference is rating: Focus Tree at 4.7 against EF Campus Connect's 3.8. Focus Tree also leads on ratings volume (5.7K vs 81). EF Campus Connect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Tree sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. EF Campus Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.
Focus Tree holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Tree has 5.7K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of EF Campus Connect's written reviews are positive against 68% of Focus Tree's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
EF Campus Connect ships an update every 6 days, Focus Tree every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
