Tiamat turns cellular automata into a creative, relaxing sandbox for patterns, rules, colors, and discovery. Build living worlds from simple rules, then watch order, chaos, gliders, oscillators, and unexpected structures emerge. Start with familiar Game of Life-style behavior, import or export rulestrings, tune simulation speed, paint directly on the field, and save the fields, rules, gradients, and patterns you want to revisit. What you can do in Tiamat: - Explore Conway-like cellular automata with wrapped, borderless fields. - Create, edit, save, import, and share rules with BS, SB, and HROT rulestring support. - Paint cells by hand, place saved patterns, or generate random fields. - Customize gradients and fading to make simulations easier to read and more beautiful to watch. - Save favorite worlds, layers, rules, colors, and patterns for later experiments. - Learn cellular automata concepts with built-in help and changelog articles. Whether you are studying emergent systems, looking for generative art inspiration, or just want a calm mathematical sandbox, Tiamat gives you precise controls without getting in the way.
FrankenCA
Read full descriptionHide full description
Touch a living lattice and watch local rules become motion, structure, transport, and surprise. FrankenCA contains nineteen cellular-automata systems rendered through a native Metal pipeline. Move quickly between automata, run them full screen, reseed or mutate a field, and open the full lab when you want direct control over the active system. The collection spans continuous morphogenesis, transport, topology, spin systems, geometry, bifurcations, and quantum-inspired dynamics. Each automaton has its own visual language and parameter set instead of sharing a cosmetic preset. The native theory atlas explains the governing state, update rule, and important parameters with proper mathematical notation, diagrams, tables, and process views. The equations and simulations are bundled with the app and remain available offline. FrankenCA has no account, advertising, tracking, web view, or cloud computation. Simulation state and gestures stay on the device.
