Both are free to download. Skyward Companion sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Zonai Construct sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Zonai Construct holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skyward Companion has 47 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Skyward Companion's written reviews are positive against 50% of Zonai Construct's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Skyward Companion ships an update every 2 weeks, Zonai Construct fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
