TR4ME vs Speacher

TR4ME translates to you the names of objects you point your camera at. The built in AI tries its best to tell you what it is seeing. You can pick the language you want to the labels to be in, or even view multiple different languages at the same time. This way you can learn interactively English, German, French or Finnish. The object name is pronounced with a native accent using a simple tap. Or you can pick an existing photo from your phone gallery for recognition. All the magic happens in the phone in realtime. Your photos are not sent anywhere thus providing immediate feedback and preserving your privacy.

This app is currently only available for users who have been given login credentials as part of the Digital Empowerment in Language Teaching (DELTEA) research project. If you are participating in the DELTEA research project, you will have already been given a login for Speacher. Speacher helps to improve your French and Spanish pronunciation using realtime AI feedback. Receive an in depth analysis and score of your speaking ability based on your articulation, intonation, and stress. Practice foreign sounds by copying native speaker videos and receive insightful narrative and visual feedback. Use our realtime intonation tracker to nail that perfect pitch. This app is currently being used for research as part of the ESRC funded Digital Empowerment in Language Teaching (DELTEA) project in collaboration with the University of Southampton and the University of Reading in the UK. Speacher was developed in-house at Niter Ltd in the UK.
