Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
NewsTalkSTL holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of NewsTalkSTL's written reviews are positive against 67% of KTRS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
NewsTalkSTL ships an update every 2 months, KTRS every 23 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
