Pegasus has adapted a new form of scanning technology for the next generation of true 3D foot capture. Using an IR laser projection of points run on the Apple iOS platform we can now convert digital foot-scan data extracted using our lab specific foot scanning APP directly into our exclusive CAD CAM custom orthotic software. Pegasus can now provide the clinical practitioner with a low cost, portable, wireless, true 3D scanning option that facilities instant digital foot and prescription transmission to our lab within seconds. The scanning APP will capture true, 3D foot anatomy for exact locating of custom accommodations that may be required for certain foot pathologies. Our aim is to provide a seamless, digital gateway and give you access, to what we believe at Pegasus is the most accurate, advanced, versatile, custom made foot orthotic foot currently on the market. This 3D scanner is developed especially for foot measures. Capture the 3D profile of your or your patient's feet. The exported STL-Files can be read by all 3D processing programs. pedcad offers a special workflow for easy access to 3D-printed insoles designed in Germany or optionally at one of our partners around the world. The app allows you to preview the foot scans before you submit your scans. The app asks permission to use your camera (front-facing). When you allow the app to use the camera, the permission to use the depth-sensing camera is also provided. The app does not store, collect, or transfer any picture or video data out of your phone. Instead, the app generates and uploads a 3D model of your feet (in the form of point clouds) to our servers when you initiate such an upload explicitly.
