Golf Barcelona is the app of Club de Golf Barcelona: book your tee time, see how far the green is and keep the scorecard of your round on your phone. DISTANCE TO THE GREEN • The hole is drawn the way you play it —tee at the bottom, green at the top— over satellite imagery, instead of a north-up map. • Metres to the front, the centre and the back of the green, measured from wherever you stand, not from the tee. • The hole advances on its own as you play; if you wander off, the app tells you without switching holes on you. • Works with no signal: the course is stored on your phone the first time. THE TIME OF EACH HOLE • Countdown timer against the target time the club sets for that hole, from its par, its difficulty and the walk from the previous green. • It turns red when you run over, so you know whether you are on pace without asking anyone. • The round pauses by itself if you stop to eat or leave the course, and the time spent standing still is not charged to the hole. SCORECARD • Both nines stacked in portrait, and the whole card by turning the phone. • You score by tapping the cell and pressing the number: no keyboard, and it jumps to the next player on its own. • Stroke play or Stableford, with the shots given spread over the holes by their difficulty. • Birdie, eagle and bogey marked as on a paper card, with the ±par of each nine. • Your last ten rounds are kept, with their strokes and their times. BOOKING • Opens the calendar of the course you want to play —Masia Bach or Executive— and remembers your session, so you see your member, subscriber or federated rates. WHICH TEE IS MINE? • The club's own recommendation: by driver carry, by handicap or by age, with the club rules already applied. ALSO • The club Wi-Fi network. • Seven languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, Dutch, Italian, French and German.
