Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RepSpeed at 4.5 against Barbell Mate's 1.0. RepSpeed also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 2). Barbell Mate's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
