About

AI limits

Features

AI limits is for Claude and Gemini subscribers who want to know, without opening a browser, where they stand on their usage limits: the 5-hour window and the 7-day limit. Independent app, not affiliated with Anthropic or Google. "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic; "Gemini" is a trademark of Google LLC. WHAT YOU SEE • One card per account: percentage used, a colored progress ring, time left before reset. • When a limit is reached: a live countdown to the resume time, then "You can resume". • A pace forecast: "at this pace, limit reached around 4:20 PM". • Detail for each window and a 7-day history. WHEREVER YOU WANT IT • Widgets for the Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy. • Apple Watch: account list, detail, and complications for your watch faces and Smart Stack. • Mac: window, widgets and menu bar. • Dynamic Island and Lock Screen: a resume counter when a limit is reached (the Live Activity starts while the app is open, or with one gesture without opening it: the “Countdown” control, the widget button or Siri; resume within 8 hours). • Siri and Shortcuts: "Where do I stand with AI limits", "When can I resume with AI limits". NOTIFICATIONS • Alerts at 75, 90 and 100% usage, and when a window resets. They are scheduled on your device, with no server. Threshold alerts depend on readings taken while the app runs; how often background runs happen is decided by iOS. SYNC BETWEEN YOUR DEVICES • iCloud option: your devices share the account list and the latest readings through your private iCloud. No password, cookie or token is ever synced. • A Mac that is on can take readings for your other devices. PRIVACY • No developer server, no analytics, no ads, no data collection. • You sign in on the official claude.ai or Google sign-in page, in a window inside the app. The app never sees your password; the session is stored in your device's keychain. • The app only contacts claude.ai, api.anthropic.com and Google services (gemini.google.com), on your behalf, straight from your device. • Deleting an account erases its credentials, web session and readings from the device. DEMO MODE No account yet, or just curious? Demo mode shows every feature with sample data, no sign-in needed. GOOD TO KNOW • Neither Anthropic nor Google publishes a stable API for these limits. The app reads the same pages you would for your account; if a service changes how it works, the app shows a clear message rather than made-up figures, and may stop working until an update. • Google may block sign-in inside an app's embedded window; the app says so and offers to retry. • A Claude (Pro/Max) or Gemini (Google AI Pro/Ultra) subscription is required for real readings. • An advanced option accepts a Claude OAuth token; an experimental option reads the Gemini Code Assist quota.
