Open Borders is a free immigration guide written by an immigration attorney. Answer plain-language questions about your situation and read authored information about the paths that may apply to you — family-based green cards, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, TPS, DACA, U and T visas, naturalization and more. No account, no ads, no tracking. GUIDED REVIEW • Start from the beginning, or use Quick Start to record the facts you already know. • The guide asks only for the context it needs and explains each answer in plain language. • Focused tools for Family-Based Options and Removal Relief when you want one topic at a time. • Case Snapshot shows your progress; Case Notes collects what matters. Export your notes as a PDF and share them with an attorney. • Your answers stay on your device unless you choose to share them. IMMIGRATION COURT INSIGHTS • How every sitting immigration judge and court has decided cases since 2021, from the government's own records: asylum grant rates, bond outcomes, relief by type, time to decision, and appeals. • A map of who appointed each state's judges, the Board of Immigration Appeals roster, and notable numbers across the system. • Past decisions, not predictions — and never a tool for choosing a judge. PROCESSING TIMES • Current USCIS processing times by form and office, with a personalized estimate for a pending case. • The State Department's Visa Bulletin, read as a waiting line: which filing dates are being decided now, and how far the line moved in the last year. • Department of Labor queues for employment-based cases. ALERTS AND NEWS • Firm-authored alerts when a rule, fee or court decision changes what you should do — with who is affected and what to do next. • A curated archive of reporting, broadcasts, video, audio, public records and commentary on immigration law, civil rights and Montana's immigration history. • An emergency guide for families after an ICE detention in Montana. WHEN YOU WANT A LAWYER • Schedule a phone or video consultation with the attorney who wrote the guide, from inside the app. • Clear flat fees, with monthly payment options, for the services the firm offers. • Client reviews and the firm's story, in the app. ENGLISH AND SPANISH • The guide, the tools and the alerts are available in both languages. • Read Aloud, text scaling and other accessibility support. MADE FOR EVERY SCREEN • iPhone, including the iPhone Duo: a one-handed layout on the cover display and a full two-column layout when it is open. • iPad, with a sidebar and tab bar in every orientation. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Open Borders is written and maintained by Shahid Haque, founder of Border Crossing Law Firm and a former law professor, who has represented thousands of people in the U.S. immigration system since 2008. It provides general educational information that may be incomplete and may not reflect current law or every fact, exception or option in your situation. It does not provide legal advice, determine eligibility, recommend a filing strategy or create an attorney-client relationship, and it is not affiliated with USCIS, ICE, CBP, EOIR, the BIA or any government agency. Versefold is a quiet place to read, study, and remember Scripture. It opens straight to the Word — no feed, no streaks, no social layer, nothing pulling at your attention. Scripture first. Everything else quiet. READ Open to your last reading location and simply read. The full KJV lives on your device and works completely offline. Choose from more than twenty translations in English and Spanish — NIV, ESV, NLT, NKJV, CSB, NASB 2020, The Message, Reina-Valera, and more — and flip between them instantly. Compare any verse side by side in the translations you choose, in the order you choose them. Clean typography, warm ivory pages, and themes that stay out of the way. MARK IT LIKE A PAPER BIBLE Press and hold, then drag your finger across the words that matter. Tap Marker to use your last color, or hold it to choose yellow, green, blue, or pink. Add a penned underline, recolor selected words, or erase just part of a mark. Your ink wraps naturally with the text. Notes leave a small hand-penned mark beside the verse in every translation, and when a verse you marked appears in another translation, a small ink swash in the margin points you back to the version that holds your ink. UNDERSTAND Select any passage and Unfold it: a careful, deeper explanation grounded in the text itself. Every explanation is clearly labeled as AI-assisted commentary — never styled like Scripture — and carries a Basis section citing the passages it draws on. Ask your own question about any passage and get an answer rooted in the Word, not the internet. STUDY Build a personal guided study from any verse, book, or theme — choose the length, the minutes per day, and the depth. Each day brings readings, context, reflection questions, and a prayer prompt. Pause anytime. Nothing expires, and there are no streaks to lose. REMEMBER Turn a verse into a confession card: the Scripture in full, with a short confession in your own voice built on its meaning — crafted with help if you want it, always editable. Save it to Photos or share it. "Meditate" in Scripture is the Hebrew hagah — to mutter, to keep the Word on your lips. Versefold is built around that practice. SEARCH BY MEANING Search for "confidence and strength in the Lord" and find the passages that carry that meaning — not just the ones that contain those words. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No sign-up. No ads. No analytics trackers. Your highlights, notes, and studies stay on your device — export them or delete them anytime. The Word before the phone.
