VAPORDRUM is a super drum machine: sixteen velocity-sensitive pads, a pattern and song sequencer, an eight-bus mixer with tape effects, and a feel engine that makes a programmed beat breathe like a real drummer. HUMAN FEEL Every instrument gets its own timing, dynamics and nuance. Push the hats loose, keep the kick locked, let the snare land a little heavier now and then. It's repeatable too, so what you hear is exactly what you export. PLAY IT - 16 pads, each with up to three velocity layers - Strike near the top of a pad for a soft hit, near the bottom for a hard one - Accent, flams and rolls - A chance-to-play setting on every pad, for grooves that never repeat quite the same way - Metronome with a choice of sounds, and tap tempo PROGRAM IT - A bank of 16 patterns, with pitch, envelope and micro-timing on every step - Tracks can run at their own lengths and their own speeds, for polymeter - Swing and quantize - A song map, with several songs in each session SHAPE IT - Pitch, decay, pan, envelope and EQ on every pad - Eight output busses, each with its own pan, reverb, tape delay, warble, tape wear, filters and parametric EQ - LFOs throughout, on filters, delay time, tape speed and bus position - LED meters on every bus MAKE IT YOURS - Import your own samples, or record them with the microphone - Save kits: the sounds, the mixer and the effects, ready to load under any pattern - Save sessions, or export them as one file with the samples inside - Four looks for the faceplate TAKE IT WITH YOU - Render a pattern, a song, the full mix, or one stem per bus to WAV - Send them anywhere from the share sheet. A copy stays in the Files app, along with the tempo and loop points - Keeps playing in the background and with the ringer switch on silent - Picks up exactly where you left off, even after you close the app From the makers of VAPORLOOP.
