Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Uncover at 4.8 against OBC Reader's 2.8. Uncover also leads on ratings volume (217 vs 12) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). OBC Reader's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Uncover holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Uncover has 217 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of OBC Reader's written reviews are positive against 72% of Uncover's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
OBC Reader ships an update every 2 months, Uncover every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
