Use your iPhone as a Line Umpire when you play tennis to call a line in real time during play. Please note: Line Umpire works better on newer devices, where it can make more observations and perform more calculations in less time. Also note that the app monitors one line. So if you want to cover more lines, more devices are needed. First select the line to monitor, and then as soon as an out ball is detected, the phone will flash and make a sound. Also, If you wear an Apple Watch, your watch will vibrate when the ball is out, and you will see a snapshot image of the last bounce.  You can connect up to eight devices to each other during a line calling session. That means that when one device detects a ball which is out, all devices will flash and call out. And of course send the bounce to their paired Apple Watch if there is one. It's pretty awesome already in text format, but should really be experienced in real life! On the Apple Watch application you can start a HealthKit workout session in order to track heart rate and calories burned. Having an active workout will also enable continuous delivery of line call images to the wrist. When the workout is ended, it is saved using HealthKit and details about it can be found in the Fitness app. Line Umpire leverages on-device intelligence, and does not use any internet resources. That means it's quite fast and that no data is uploaded anywhere. Cool! It also means it demands quite a lot of your device. Using it for a long time will consume some of the device's battery. Also, there is no sign up or sign in, just line calling straight away! For each bounce you can watch a frame by frame replay to verify the line call. The detection algorithms can be tweaked by lots of settings, so that you can adapt the detection for your specific environment.

Pickleline

Pickleline settles contested line calls and keeps the score — then shows you how your points are won and lost. Everything runs on your iPhone or iPad: no account, no upload, no subscription. REPLAY THE CALL Set the phone on a tripod at the baseline and start the camera. Pickleline keeps a rolling 5-second buffer; tap Capture when a call is disputed and the last few seconds are saved and replayed at 0.25x slow motion. Clips auto-delete after 60 minutes unless you pin them. REVIEW STUDIO Scrub to any moment, step frame by frame, freeze the ball-contact frame, and drag a boundary line and ball-mark pin onto it to settle the call (USA Pickleball Rule 6.D.6). Your markup saves with the clip. SCORE KEEPER Doubles or singles, traditional side-out or rally scoring, games to 11, 15 or 21, single game or best of 3 / best of 5. The score is called in USA Pickleball format ("4-5-1") with server number and serve side, and the live score is stamped onto every clip you capture. Undo any rally, even a game-ending one. NEW IN 3.0: RALLY INSIGHTS Every rally you score is logged, so Pickleline can show: • Rallies won on your serve vs. on return • Side-outs earned and points per serve turn • Longest scoring runs, biggest lead, best comeback • Game points converted and saved • A momentum chart for every game See it for one match or across your whole career. STATS & PRACTICE Career win rate, match and game records, point differential, streaks, and head-to-head records by opponent. Log drills from the built-in library (dinks, third-shot drops, serves, volley resets and more) and track reps, minutes and practice streaks. A court timer covers the serve clock, time-outs and warm-ups. YOUR DATA, YOUR FILES Export match history (one row per game) and your practice log as CSV for Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. Create a full backup file and restore it on any device — restoring adds what's missing and never overwrites. QUICK LAUNCH Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Control Center controls (iOS 18), and Siri / Shortcuts actions open the replay camera, the score keeper, or your stats in one tap. Widgets never show your personal data. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads. Video, scores and stats stay on your device unless you choose to share a file. Everything included — one purchase, no subscription.
