Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. NFC Tools & RFID Scanner sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. NFC TagKit asks for nothing beyond the download.
NFC Tools & RFID Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NFC Tools & RFID Scanner has 323 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of NFC TagKit's written reviews are positive against 25% of NFC Tools & RFID Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
NFC TagKit ships an update every 4 months, NFC Tools & RFID Scanner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 10, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
