pARcelari 3.0 vs RDW

"pARcelări 3.0" is a project of digital communication built around an augmented reality mobile app which serves as communicating and popularising historical, cultural and architectural information about the lotissements in Bucharest. The goal of this project is to offer the necessary support for a more extensive perception in the target group and to direct and indirect beneficiaries to the historical and academic research. The augmented reality app is a virtual guided tour through the included lotissementa, lead by a narrative thread that will be reported by objects, houses or other highlights that are existent in the area. With this app, the user can interact with those highlights and will be able to receive information ( video, graphic and audio ) about the history of this specific place. The pARcelări3.0 app has the role to make attractive to the general public the academical information gathered during the research and show to users in an interactive way through an immersive experience of augmented reality.

RDW app helps users navigate through the Romanian Design Week festival’s schedule, allowing them to filter the events part of the program by date or event typology. Users can find details about the events, save on their agenda their favorite events, see them located on the festival map and get directions. Romanian Design Week festival takes place this year between May 24 and June 2 in the former CINA restaurant building (10 Benjamin Franklin Street). The 2024 edition of Romanian Design Week aims to investigate the methods by which creativity and innovation can shape the cities of tomorrow and also contribute to the exploration of Bucharest and the discovery of its potential and layers, creative spaces in the city, and the organizations or cultural projects that animate and define them. The edition invites Bucharest citizens to discover the creative particularity of certain city areas, to discover unique design projects and multidisciplinary approaches, and to contribute to defining spaces for dialogue, thus demonstrating the importance of collective imagination processes and co-creation of a more friendly city.  The general theme of the RDW2024 festival aims to contribute to reconnecting Bucharest citizens to the city and especially to its communities, rediscovered from the perspective of the potential of local creative industries.
