About

Frankos Rainfall Recorder

Franko's Rainfall Recorder keeps the record your rain gauge has been keeping all along. Tap a date, type what the gauge caught, and the app does the rest — monthly totals, yearly totals, how many days it actually rained, and how this year compares with the ones before it. RECORD IN SECONDS Tap any date on the calendar and enter the millimetres. Days are shaded by how hard it rained, so a glance at the month tells you where the rain fell. Recording 0mm is its own reading — it means you checked the gauge and it was empty, which is different from not having checked at all. MORE THAN ONE GAUGE If you have gauges in different spots, name them and record each one separately. Compare them side by side over a day, a week, a month or a year. Gauges are averaged rather than added, because they are all catching the same weather from different places. MORE THAN ONE PROPERTY Keep separate records for separate places. Each property has its own gauges and its own totals, and they never mix. THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER - Total rainfall and rain days for any month or year - The wettest day in any period - A running year-to-date figure, month by month - Average annual rainfall across every complete year you have recorded - The average for any particular month, across previous years YEARS OF HISTORY Swipe the calendar back and fill in the seasons you already have written down. Once a full year is recorded it joins the average, and every year after that sharpens it. YOUR RECORDS STAY YOURS Everything is stored on your device. There is no account to create, no server, nothing uploaded, and no advertising. Nothing about your property leaves your phone. Built for anyone who checks a gauge and writes it in a book — farmers, graziers, gardeners, and anyone who likes knowing exactly how much fell.
