What makes Privoto different from other photo vault apps? None of the photo vault apps we investigated provide genuine data encryption. Essentially, these apps only offer a passcode screen as a form of protection when the application is launched. Consequently, the data stored in your phone remains unencrypted and susceptible to easy access. In contrast, Privoto employs robust security measures by encrypting all imported photos and videos with a 256-bit encryption key. This key is directly linked to the passcode you establish for the app. This ensures that not only are others unable to access your data, but even we, as the app creators, do not have access to it. The exclusive individual with the ability to decrypt the data is the one possessing the passcode – you. ◉ KEY APP FEATURES AT A GLANCE ▸ Lock your photos and videos with passcode or Face/Touch ID. ▸ Most secure level of encryption: no hacker is able to break the encryption. ▸ Import photos and videos from your local camera roll. ▸ Use iCloud Sync to share photos & videos across devices securely. ▸ Copy & paste to import photos from other apps. ▸ Pin photo/video to the top of album. ▸ Minimal design: let the user focuses on their photos and videos. ▸ Transfer photos and videos from your computer via Wi-Fi. ▸ No ads at all. ▸ No register needed. ▸ Works offline without internet. ◉ PREMIUM FEATURES ▸ Easily transfer data to a new device. ▸ Separate passcode for each album. ▸ Safe mode passcode - enter separate album without sharing your real passcode. ▸ Disguise Mode. ▸ Login activities. Are you excited to try it out to prevent unauthorized access to your photos and videos? Download Privoto today. ◉ WE LOVE FEEDBACK If you have any feedback for us, please send an email to hello@ideanology.co.uk and we will be happy to act on it to improve your app experience.

Verdict

The call

Photo Vault and Flashback both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Flashback's written reviews are positive against 35% of Photo Vault's. Flashback also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). Photo Vault's advantage is ratings volume (232 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks).
