Master the aviation calculations every pilot needs — without a calculator. Rules of Thumb trains you to perform real cockpit mental math quickly and accurately. Six game types cover the calculations student pilots and professionals use every day: Conversions — speeds, weights, fuel units, distances Crosswind — crosswind component from angle and wind speed Drift Correction — DCA using speed factor method True Airspeed — TAS correction for altitude Distance & Altitude — descent planning, ROD calculations Pressure Altitude — PA, ISA deviation, density altitude Four difficulty levels take you from learning with hints to typing your answer under time pressure with tight tolerances — just like a real checkride. Master Plus mode and Master Plus Challenge are available with a subscription (€5.99/month or €34.99/year). Master Plus Challenge delivers questions via notifications over 10 hours, simulating real in-flight decision pressure. Free tier includes: Learning mode (20 min/day), Training mode (10 questions/day) and Master mode (5 questions/day). 30 badges reward speed, accuracy, streaks, daily consistency and challenge completion. Whether you're a student pilot preparing for your PPL, working toward your CPL, or a qualified pilot keeping sharp — Rules of Thumb gives you the mental tools to fly with confidence.
