Compound is a workout logger built for the sixty seconds between sets. VOICE-FIRST LOGGING Speak your sets the way you'd say them out loud -- "bench press 225 for 8 reps, 3 sets" -- and confirm the card with one tap. Got it wrong? Say "that last set was 10 reps" and it fixes the right row. Or skip the mic entirely: every set can be tapped in, and last session's numbers pre-fill, so most sets need no typing at all. TRAIN BY MUSCLE GROUP, NOT BY GUESSWORK Compound tracks your weekly sets per muscle group against targets you choose. Compound lifts earn credit where it's due -- a bench press counts fully toward chest and half toward triceps and shoulders. The Trends tab shows which groups are behind, and how many days are left in the week to fix it. FILL MY GAPS One tap builds a workout from whichever muscle groups you're furthest behind on, sized to close the gap. Don't like the draw? Reshuffle it. It's a suggestion, never a prescription. PERSONAL RECORDS THAT ACTUALLY FIT Records for weight, for reps at a given weight, and for bodyweight movements -- so pull-ups, dips and push-ups can finally set records too. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS No account. No sign-up. No ads. No analytics trackers. Everything lives on your iPhone. Export a full backup to Files or iCloud whenever you want, and restore it just as easily. ALSO INSIDE - Quick Start cards for Push, Pull and Leg days, with a fresh mix of lifts each time - A 75+ exercise library covering the lifts you find in any gym, plus your own lifts with primary and assisting muscles - Full history: rename a workout, repeat it, or open any lift for its trend over the last 26 weeks - A Monday recap of last week's volume, streak and records - Dark and light themes - Drag to reorder exercises mid-workout Voice logging is free with up to 50 voice notes a day. Voice notes are sent out for transcription and need a connection; everything else works offline.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CompoundLift at none against Protein Log's 1. CompoundLift also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
