The unique app provides students and staff with safety information and features for James Cook University campuses including important safety alerts. JCUSafe’s features include: - Alert Security: Send your location to JCU Security and talk to them, in real-time, in case of an emergency on campus. - Chat with Campus Security: Communicate live with JCU Security staff via chat. - Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the JCU campus areas in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern. - Safety Notifications: Receive instant notifications and instructions from JCU Safety when on-campus emergencies occur. - Friend Walk: Send your location to a friend through email or SMS on your device. If you don't respond, the app will alert JCU Security (on campus) or your personal emergency contact (off campus). - Report a Concern: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to JCU Security. - Safety Toolbox: Enhance your safety with the set of tools provided in one convenient place. - Emergency Plans: Campus emergency information that can prepare you for disasters or emergencies.
