Turn ideas into action. You know what matters to you. Finding room for it on a Tuesday is the harder part. Kept helps you follow through. JUST SAY IT Write one line and Kept files it as a task, an event or a note. If it guesses wrong, your pick wins. THREE THINGS FIRST Today opens with your Top 3 priorities. Kept reads your goals and your real calendar and floats the few that matter to the top, with quick wins, your calendar, asks and habits underneath. You still decide. Hide Top 3, quick wins or habits for today or every day, with Undo. GIVE IT A TIME Tap a priority for today's plan and the next step, and start a Focus timer from there. The time is the button. Tap it to put the priority on your calendar, drag in 15-minute steps, and see a clash before you commit. It works with the Kept calendar, Google Calendar and, with full access, Apple Calendar. If the day changes, move it to 6pm tonight, with Undo. START WITH WHO Kept opens with a question: who are you becoming? The goals and small daily steps that follow point back to your answer. SAY THE GOAL, GET THE FIRST STEP Tell Goal Builder what you want in your own words, or start from an area. Answer up to three quick questions and tap Keep this goal. Kept sets up the tracker, the first step and a weekly check-in. Close it halfway through and your draft waits for you. AFTER YOUR COFFEE Tie a habit to something you already do. "After my coffee" works. So does "After the school run". COUNT WHAT YOU KEPT Each small thing you keep goes on the record, a vote for the person you said you'd become. It's proof to look back on when the day is hard. A missed day doesn't need a lecture. NOTES CLOSE BY Your day's note sits right on Today. Templates fill the note you're in, the outline jumps to any heading, and there's a word count. IPHONE AND MAC One account on both, in sync. Get Kept for Mac at kept.do. BEHAVIOR SCIENCE, HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS Kept draws on well-studied findings: if-then plans, cue-driven habits, identity-based motivation and specific goals. Studies describe averages. They can't promise results for one person, so Kept doesn't either. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your capture text stays yours.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Kept at 5.0 against Logseq's 4.4. Kept also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Logseq's advantage is ratings volume (264 vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Kept holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Logseq has 264 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Logseq's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kept's.
Logseq ships an update every 3 weeks, Kept every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
