Blur faces and text in photos and videos, and remove the hidden location, device and date before you share. Free and on your device: no account, no ads, no tracking. Share the moment, not the story behind it. PicStrip finds what a photo or video gives away — faces, phone numbers, email addresses, card numbers, QR codes, where it was taken and the device that took it — and helps you cover or remove it before you share. Processing happens on your iPhone or iPad. VIDEOS, COVERED AS THEY MOVE Record with PicStrip's camera or pick a video — or many, to clean them all at once. PicStrip finds faces, text, codes and your Always Cover words, follows them frame by frame and covers them: faces with a strong blur, a solid box or an emoji you choose. Draw a box around anything else — a person, a car, a screen, a sign — and it is tracked forwards and back. A video-editor timeline shows every cover and sound edit as a clip you can trim; select a stretch of sound to bleep or mute it. The preview is drawn the way the copy is saved, and the copy leaves without its location, device and dates. RECORD WITHOUT COMPROMISE One camera for photos, video and documents. Video mode records like the Camera app: 4K or HD, 24 to 120 fps, HDR, enhanced stabilization, every lens with pinch to zoom, focus and exposure, the flashlight, and the volume buttons or Camera Control to start and stop. Recordings go straight to cleaning and are never saved to your library as they are. SEE IT BEFORE YOU SHOOT Photo mode's live viewfinder outlines and names what it would redact, with its match strength, and can preview the result. After capture, the photo gets a full scan and review. REVIEW BEFORE YOU SHARE Scan for faces, barcodes, contact details, financial identifiers and common developer secrets. Review match strength and scan status, then decide what to cover. Name suggestions depend on Apple Intelligence and are not covered automatically. MAKE THE COPY YOURS Draw a box, or tap an object on iOS 27, then move and resize it with accessible controls. Choose solid, crosshatch, pixelate, blur or an emoji, with colors, strength and undo/redo. Solid coverage is recommended for secrets: blur and pixelation can leave details recognizable. Leave the last digits of a card or phone number showing if you like, and compare with the original before sharing. Add words to Always Cover — your name, a plate, your street — and they are covered wherever PicStrip reads them. REMOVE HIDDEN DETAILS Review location, camera, date, caption and device metadata. Choose what to remove and check the output. Export PNG, JPEG, HEIC or a supported source format, with a visible file size. Sharing presets help choose a format for photos, screenshots and documents. Keep a Live Photo's motion when nothing in it is covered. MORE WAYS IN Try the fictional built-in sample. Pick photos and videos — one or many, or just your screenshots — scan a document, browse Files, paste or drag and drop. Clean many photos and videos at once with a shared policy, use the Share Extension, or start from Shortcuts — the background action removes metadata only. ON-DEVICE PRIVACY No account, ads, tracking, subscriptions or developer photo server. An optional object-selection model on supported systems may download from Apple after you agree. Importing from cloud providers, saving to a synced library, and sharing to an app you choose follow those services' settings. Protected temporary files are cleaned up as described in the privacy policy. PicStrip is open source, with verifiable build provenance for published releases. Automatic detection can miss details, and covering what it finds does not make anyone anonymous. Always review the whole photo or video before sharing.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PicStrip at none against Dreamy Camera's 8. PicStrip also leads on ads (none vs shown). Dreamy Camera's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 26.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
