Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Acidity at 100% against Scratchnote's 67%. Acidity also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Scratchnote's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Scratchnote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Scratchnote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Acidity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Scratchnote ships an update every 11 days, Acidity every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
