The NNAT® (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test) is a nonverbal group-administered ability test for grades K-12 that assesses students' thinking and problem solving abilities. Unlike assessment tests, which measure what a student has already learned, abilities tests are intended to examine a student's aptitude, with a premium on analytic and problem-solving skills over specific information. The latest version is the NNAT®3. It takes 30 minutes to complete. It includes 48 questions. These questions are broken down into four unique question types. The NNAT®3 is an updated version of the NNAT®2 that includes an improved exam format, updated questions, better accessibility for different students, updated scoring criteria, improved digital administration, and more extensive test preparation materials. These improvements are intended to give a more accurate, interesting, and accessible assessment of children's nonverbal reasoning skills.
