Run to the music you love, at the pace you actually run. Running Beats sorts the songs in your Spotify playlists by tempo and turns them into running playlists. With Auto Tempo, the music follows your feet. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the playlists you like to run to. Your Liked Songs and your most played songs can join in too. 2. Set your usual running tempo. Not sure what it is? Running Beats can suggest one from your recent runs in Apple Health. 3. Tap Generate Playlists. You get a playlist for every 5 BPM in your range, saved to your Spotify account. 4. Start your run. AUTO TEMPO Your iPhone counts your steps as you run, and Running Beats plays the playlist that matches your cadence. Pick up the pace and the music picks up with you. Slow down for a hill and it slows down too. Prefer to set it yourself? Change the tempo with a tap. MADE FOR RUNNING • Every song lands on the beat of your stride, from your warm-up to your final sprint. • After each run, see how long you ran, the tempos you ran at and every song that played. Give each song a thumbs up or down. • Get a reminder when your playlists have new songs, so your next run has them too. PLAYLISTS THAT LEARN FROM YOU With Premium, your thumbs and the songs you skip shape your next playlists, and Spotify fills the gaps with recommendations at the same tempo that you'll like. RUNNING BEATS PREMIUM • Auto Tempo on every run • Unlimited playlists • Regenerate your playlists any time • Smarter running playlists Without Premium, you can pick up to 5 playlists, generate new playlists once a week and use Auto Tempo on your first 3 runs. Premium comes as a monthly or yearly subscription, with a free trial on the yearly plan, or as a one-time purchase. SPOTIFY FREE OR PREMIUM Running Beats works with both. With Spotify Premium, songs play in a smart order, you can skip songs and control your run from the Lock Screen, and Auto Tempo keeps following you while your iPhone is locked (iOS 26 or later). You need the Spotify app on your iPhone. NO DISTANCE, NO PACE Running Beats doesn't measure distance or pace. Keep your favorite running app or watch for that, and leave the music to Running Beats. Running Beats is an independent app and is not affiliated with Spotify. Volta is a running app built around the music — with three ways to run. LET IT DJ — during the run, Volta cues each next track to how you're actually moving. PLAN IT — before you go, Volta builds a playlist matched to your target pace and cadence. JUST PRESS PLAY — run to your own music, and Volta maps it for you. Whichever you choose, your route and your listening land on one timeline afterward — so you can see exactly what every song did to your pace. MUSIC THAT READS YOUR BODY In Match My Vibe mode, Volta watches how you're moving and picks the next song to match. Want to steer? Tap Hype to push the energy up, or Cool to bring it down — anytime. PLAN THE PLAYLIST BEFORE YOU GO Set your target pace, distance, and energy curve, and Volta builds a playlist shaped for that exact run. See every track's BPM before you start, and swap or reorder anything until it's yours. EVERY SONG, SHOWN ON THE MAP Your route, colored by pace and split by track. Tap any segment to see what was playing and how fast you were moving there. THE SONG THAT MADE YOU FASTEST After every run, Volta surfaces your Power Track — the one song you ran fastest to, with your pace on it and how far above your average it pushed you. YOUR SONGS, RANKED BY WHAT THEY DO FOR YOU Your whole library, sorted by the pace you actually ran to each track. Filter by month, sort by pace, and find the songs that reliably deliver — so your next playlist is built on what works. KNOW WHEN YOU HIT FLOW When your steps per minute lock to the beat, running feels easier. Volta shows you which tracks matched your stride and which didn't — so you learn what carries you. SHARE IT Turn any run into a clean, shareable image — your route, your top tracks, your pace — ready for your camera roll or your feed. Volta works with Apple Music and Apple Health.
