Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SugarSnap at 4.8 against GlucoWatch's 3.6. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. GlucoWatch sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and SugarSnap sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
SugarSnap holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 206 and 194 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of GlucoWatch's written reviews are positive against 67% of SugarSnap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GlucoWatch ships an update every 10 days, SugarSnap weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
