Dimensional Chorus Plugin (AUv3) DimChorus is an audio effect plugin that can run standalone, or in any AU compatible host application such as Logic or GarageBand. Overview DimChorus is a stereo chorus "dimension" effect inspired by the simple button operated circuits found in a famous guitar pedal and a legendary analog synth from the 80's. While not intended to be an exact replica or emulation of either of these, DimChorus uses similar processing under the hood and embraces the vibe and simplicity of a bygone era! The chorus effect is achieved by modulating the time of a delayed version of the dry signal, and then mixing the two. Typically, these delay times are very short, between 5 and 20ms. The "dimension" effect is slightly different, in that it uses two stereo chorus effects in parallel, with different modulation rates and depths, which makes the periodic nature of the effect less obvious, and is often referred to as being three-dimensional! Simply add DimChorus to any sound that you feel is a little dry or one-dimensional, then set the Mode and EQ to taste. Parameters Active - Toggles the effect On or Off. Mode - Select one of the three modes, from subtle (I) to pronounced (III), or somewhere in between (II). EQ - Applies a high or low pass filter to the chorussed sound only, making the overall effect darker or brighter. In the Normal position, the EQ is "flat". If you are interested in other flavours of the chorus effect, please check out the OkChorale, LcrChorus and Wobulator plugins.
