Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Droppy Bomb at 5.0 against The Spitfire's 4.0. Droppy Bomb also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). The Spitfire's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Droppy Bomb holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Droppy Bomb has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
The Spitfire ships an update every 6 months, Droppy Bomb weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
