Some moments don't need a quick fix. They need a wiser companion. Hearthlight is a quiet space to bring whatever is sitting with you — a feeling you can't shake, a situation you don't know how to react to — and hear how thirteen of humanity's great schools of thought might respond. Stoicism. Buddhism. Taoism. Existentialism. Aristotelian Virtue Ethics. Christian Wisdom. Sufism. Confucianism. Stoic-Cynic counsel. Epicureanism. Rationalism. Empiricism. Pragmatism. Each one speaks in its own voice, with its own concerns, its own framing of what matters. You'll hear agreement, disagreement, and sometimes a perspective that quietly changes the question itself. WHAT YOU CAN DO · Share a feeling or describe a situation in plain words · Receive thirteen distinct perspectives, streamed in one by one · Continue the conversation with any single school for a deeper, more concrete answer · Watch a quiet hearth glow over time — one ember for each pattern in how you think and feel, drawn only from your own past readings WHY "HEARTHLIGHT" The hearth is the oldest gathering place — the warm, steady center where people came to share stories, weigh decisions, and pass down hard-earned wisdom. Hearthlight is that quiet center, in your pocket. WHAT THIS APP IS NOT Hearthlight is a tool for reflection, not a replacement for a therapist, doctor, or crisis line. If you're in immediate distress, please reach out to a trained human. WHAT STAYS PRIVATE · No accounts, no email, no login · Your readings live only on your device · Your hearth is stored in your phone's keychain · Our server keeps nothing — your messages aren't logged or saved · One-tap "erase everything" if you ever want a clean slate Some questions are old enough that someone, somewhere, has already thought carefully about them. Hearthlight is how you ask them.
