Both are free to download. Eimdal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Roze Messenger asks for nothing beyond the download.
Eimdal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Roze Messenger's written reviews are positive against 75% of Eimdal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Roze Messenger ships an update every 2 weeks, Eimdal fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
