Chorsee is a chores and allowance tracker designed for families. Our goal is to provide a clean and simple app that does everything you need to manage your household. PROFILES You will create a profile for each family member to whom you wish to assign chores. CHORES You will create color-coded chores and give each a custom icon. You can schedule tasks daily, weekly, monthly, on specific days, or alternating schedules, tailored to your needs. Chores can be assigned to one or more profiles, can be set to rotate between family members, or be up for grabs to whoever gets to them first. You can also add notes, reminders, categories, and subtasks to the chores. Photo proof can be required for specific chores, so you can see if the job was done up to your standards. BALANCES (optional) You will choose between Allowance, Points, or No Rewards. Each chore can be configured to pay a certain amount. As chores are completed the values are automatically added to that person's balance. Parents can also make manual adjustments for when they give their kids cash or need to deduct points for other reasons. We also support automatic balance adjustments in case you want to give a weekly or monthly allowance. REWARDS You can configure specific rewards within the app. You set a price and then your kids can track their progress as they work toward the goal. This feature helps kids stay motivated and to learn delayed gratification and planning. INSTANT SYNCING BETWEEN DEVICES You can add multiple devices to your household. Each device can be set to Admin mode for parents, or child mode. Kid's devices will only have access to their chore list and won’t be able to edit chores or balances. WIDGET We love widgets, and we’ve made a bunch of them! You can mark off chores right from your home screen or lock screen, and as a parent, you can keep tabs on the entire family without needing to open the app. ACCESSIBILITY We support dynamic type and dark mode. CLEAN AND SIMPLE DESIGN In keeping with our core value of clean and simple, there are a couple of things we’ve chosen to avoid. NO GAMIFICATION Doing chores and earning points or allowance isn’t always the most fun thing in the world. We believe that adding coins, badges, or games to our app is a false motivator that doesn’t last. Kids are very smart and will quickly realize this. Hard work and discipline can carry their own sense of reward and we want to help you maximize this. NO CREDIT CARDS Linking to a real world credit-card or bank account is simply beyond the scope of what we can accomplish as a small team. Instead, we’ve chosen to focus all our attention on making our app completely self-contained. Our built-in allowance/points tracking system is designed to meet the needs of most families while avoiding the complexity and risk that come with online money accounts. You can easily deduct any amount from the virtual balance in Chorsee when you make deposits into your kid's other accounts. Little chores. Big motivation. ChorePoints helps families build routines, celebrate effort and keep everyday life organized. Kids know what to do next, parents review completed work, and points turn progress into rewards the family chooses. CHORES KIDS CAN FOLLOW Create chores with clear instructions, schedules and point values. Start with a template or make your own. Assign work to one child, several children, or rotate responsibilities across the week. Use parent approval, photo proof or optional AI photo checks. REWARDS THAT FEEL WORTH IT Let kids save toward movie night, choosing dinner, a family outing or another reward you create. Personal goals and shared reward goals help everyone see their progress. Local child profiles make it easy to share a device, with PINs for profile switching. FAMILY HUB Keep the practical side of family life together: - Shared lists: groceries organized by category, packing lists and everyday to-dos. Add multiple items, scan barcodes and reuse favorites. - Family calendar: shared plans, events and personal phone reminders. - Recipes: create your own cookbook or import recipes from photos, text and recipe websites. Review AI drafts before saving, choose ingredients for a grocery list and print a kitchen-friendly copy. - Household inventory: keep photos, item details, documents and notes in one searchable place. Optional AI helps prepare item details from photos. - Scheduled tasks: recurring maintenance and family reminders, with completion history and optional links to inventory items. Parents manage feature access for each profile. Chores remains the starting experience. Manage Family Hub and other features in Settings > Enable/disable features. AI features are optional and controlled by one account setting. Selected content is sent to OpenAI only with permission. Imports create editable drafts for your review. Source availability can affect recipe imports. Subscription details: ChorePoints offers monthly and yearly family plans with a 14-day free trial for eligible subscribers. Premium is required for Family Hub recipe, inventory and scheduled-task creation and editing. Payment is charged through your App Store account, and subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
