Az Országos Magyar Vadászkamara a 2022/2023-as évtől kezdve megkezdi a vonatkozó jogszabályoknak megfelelő, plasztikkártya formátumú vadászjegy használatát. Ezzel egyidejűleg bevezeti a vadászjegyek érvényességének elektronikus nyilvántartását és biztosítja annak lekérdezési lehetőségét. Tekintve tehát, hogy a vadászjegyen az érvényességi adat közvetlenül már nincs feltüntetve, annak mindenkori érvényessége a kártyán feltüntetett vadászjegyszám alapján a Vadászkamara Online Ügyfélszolgálati rendszeréből kérdezhető le naprakész módon. A Vadászjegyen a jogszabályban meghatározott személyes adatok mellett a kártya érvényességére mutató hivatkozás QR kód formájában jelenik meg. A hivatkozást egy internet böngészőprogramban megnyitva közvetlenül megjeleníthető egy vadászjegy aktuális érvényességi adata. A kártya érvényessége emellett a Vadászkamara mobilalkalmazás segítségével is lekérdezhető a fent említett QR kód beolvasása vagy a vadászjegy azonosító kézi megadását követően.
