Marshfield Utilities recently announced the release of the second generation of the company’s phone app called Mobile Customer Access (MCA). This updated phone application builds on the customer’s ability to access their account 24 hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. In the past, utility customers could view balance information, make a payment, view statement and payment history, view usage graphs and access all their accounts at one time. With this the new release, utility customers will have access to many additional enhancements such as payment arrangement balances, programs they are enrolled in, enhanced usage graph, ability to sign up for notifications, report outages, view the utility outage map (if available), view the utility contact information, and view a message from the utility as they log into the app. The customer can even log into the application with a touch of their finger or facial recognition by setting up biometric login.

The "Phishing Detector" app is a security tool designed to protect users from phishing attempts by analyzing URLs and email content for potential threats. It offers several features to ensure user safety and security: 1. Real-Time URL Analysis: Users can enter a URL into the app, and it will perform real-time analysis to determine if the URL is potentially malicious or safe. 2. Email Content Analysis: Users can also input email content into the app, which will be scanned for phishing keywords and patterns to detect potential threats. 3. Activity Indicator: The app includes an activity indicator to provide feedback to users while the analysis is in progress, ensuring they know the app is working. 4. History: The app keeps a history of scanned URLs and email content, allowing users to review past analyses and outcomes. 5. Clear Functionality: Users can easily clear the input field and result display with a single tap using the "Clear" button. 6. Support for Valid URL Format: The app validates user input to ensure it conforms to a valid URL format, enhancing the accuracy of the analysis. 7. Secure Handling of Sensitive Data: The app ensures that sensitive data is handled securely and that APIs are accessed over HTTPS to protect user privacy. 8. Multilingual Support: The app supports multiple languages, making it accessible to a broader audience. 9. Error Logging: The app includes error logging functionality to capture and analyze errors for continuous improvement.
