Are there things you need to remember to do regularly, that don’t make sense in a to-do list or as calendar events? Needs Bars can give you a visual cue for when you have gone too long without doing something. Needs Bars is useful for things which you know are important, but don’t have a way of feeling it until it’s too late. It’s like the hunger bar in video games, but for anything you like. I know for this developer, todos and reminders don’t work because you miss the notification or they pile up. Some things don’t need to be done at an exact time, you just need to do them fairly regularly. Needs Bars can be helpful for different people in different ways. Some things that others take for granted and can just feel, are things that you would benefit having an external reminder for. For example, maybe you become very focused and would like something that reminds you to eat. The same concept can apply to short and long periods of time. Other examples include: • Staying in touch with family and friends • Self-care like reading, face masks, playing games • Musical instrument practice • Taking a vacation from work • Trying a new recipe At the moment, Needs Bars is a free and basic proof of concept. It already includes: • Syncing between devices • Dark mode • Home screen and lock screen widgets so you can always see your bars If Needs Bars is popular enough I will add paid subscription features to support development: • Custom bar colors • Color changing as the bar gets low • More than 6 bars • Apple Watch app • Slider for editing bar fullness • IFTTT integration for depleting and filling bars • Quick actions from bars like contacts or opening Books app • Completely customizable theming with any art you like, think early Tumblr and MySpace

ZeroBrew: A kinder way to quit caffeine. ZeroBrew helps you taper off caffeine gradually — no cold turkey, no shame, no crashes. Just a personalized plan that meets you where you are and gently lowers your intake, one day at a time. ZeroBrew requires an auto-renewing subscription to access. A 3-day free trial is available on the Yearly plan. Most people fail to quit caffeine because cold turkey is brutal. Headaches, fatigue, brain fog, lost productivity — three days in, you're back to your morning espresso. ZeroBrew works differently. It builds a taper plan around your current intake, your typical drinks, and your chosen pace, then walks you through it with daily targets that shrink slowly enough that your nervous system barely notices. HOW IT WORKS – Tell ZeroBrew about your habit. Your usual drinks, when you have them, what you spend. About 60 seconds. – Get your taper plan. A personalized daily ceiling that lowers gradually over a few weeks. You choose the pace: gentle, steady, or fast. – Log every drink in one tap. Espresso, latte, energy drink, matcha, cold brew, soda — all the common drinks are preset. Add your own in seconds. – Watch the proof build. Sleep recovering. Energy steadying. Money saved. Real numbers from your own life, day after day. WHAT MAKES ZEROBREW DIFFERENT Most caffeine apps treat quitting as a streak. Miss a day, lose everything. ZeroBrew rejects that. You're succeeding from day one as long as you stay under your daily ceiling — even if that ceiling still includes your morning coffee. Quitting kindly means quitting realistically. FEATURES (REQUIRES SUBSCRIPTION) – Personalized taper plan based on your current intake – Daily ceiling that lowers gradually over time – One-tap logging for 10 preset drinks, plus custom drinks – Daily check-ins to track sleep, energy, and mood – Trigger tracking (post-lunch slump, stress, mornings, social) to understand your patterns – Progress dashboard showing caffeine cut, money saved, and projected savings – Calendar view of your journey, day by day – Catch-up flow for days you forgot to log – No accounts required, no ads, no data sold WHO ZEROBREW IS FOR Adults who drink coffee, tea, or energy drinks daily and want to cut back. People who have tried cold turkey and failed. Anyone tired of poor sleep, afternoon crashes, caffeine-related anxiety, or spending hundreds of dollars a month on drinks that no longer feel optional. IMPORTANT ZeroBrew is a personal tracking tool, not medical advice. If you have a medical condition, take medication that interacts with caffeine, or are pregnant, please consult a healthcare professional before changing your caffeine intake.
