Are there things you need to remember to do regularly, that don’t make sense in a to-do list or as calendar events? Needs Bars can give you a visual cue for when you have gone too long without doing something. Needs Bars is useful for things which you know are important, but don’t have a way of feeling it until it’s too late. It’s like the hunger bar in video games, but for anything you like. I know for this developer, todos and reminders don’t work because you miss the notification or they pile up. Some things don’t need to be done at an exact time, you just need to do them fairly regularly. Needs Bars can be helpful for different people in different ways. Some things that others take for granted and can just feel, are things that you would benefit having an external reminder for. For example, maybe you become very focused and would like something that reminds you to eat. The same concept can apply to short and long periods of time. Other examples include: • Staying in touch with family and friends • Self-care like reading, face masks, playing games • Musical instrument practice • Taking a vacation from work • Trying a new recipe At the moment, Needs Bars is a free and basic proof of concept. It already includes: • Syncing between devices • Dark mode • Home screen and lock screen widgets so you can always see your bars If Needs Bars is popular enough I will add paid subscription features to support development: • Custom bar colors • Color changing as the bar gets low • More than 6 bars • Apple Watch app • Slider for editing bar fullness • IFTTT integration for depleting and filling bars • Quick actions from bars like contacts or opening Books app • Completely customizable theming with any art you like, think early Tumblr and MySpace

This isn't the cannabis you smoked in college. The research saying cannabis isn't physically addictive was done on 2–4% THC flower. Today's dispensaries routinely sell 25–90% THC concentrates, vape carts, and high-dose edibles. The product changed. The advice didn't catch up. And when you try to quit, you find out exactly how different modern cannabis is from what anyone warned you about. Outro is the app for people quitting that product. It is not a streak counter. It is not a 12-step app. It is not built on the idea that you are an addict. It is built on the idea that you bought a legal product at a potency the rules were not written for, your body adapted around it, and now your body is recalibrating — and you deserve to know what is actually happening to you. WHAT'S INSIDE — Personalized 14-day symptom forecast. Based on how long you've used, what form, and how often. Tells you what your body is likely to do, day by day, so you know what to expect instead of being blindsided. — Clinical context for 12 symptoms. Sleep disruption, vivid dreams, night sweats, gut changes, tinnitus, blood pressure, appetite loss, anxiety, anhedonia, irritability, brain fog, cravings. Each one with mechanism, timeline, what helps, and when to actually worry. — Urge Companion. One button when the pull hits. A 90-second guided protocol that names the trigger, runs the HALT check, gives you a body anchor, and logs the outcome — whether you rode it out, used less, or used. Nothing resets. Nothing shames. — Sensory Log. Daily prompt: "What came back today that you couldn't feel in the fog?" Your answers build a constellation that grows over weeks. The constellation cannot be reset by a slip. This is the actual point of quitting. — A library of clinical articles. Why your dreams come back angry. The anhedonia gap. Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. Your endocannabinoid system, explained. Real research, real sources, real adult writing. WHAT WE WON'T DO — No streaks as the hero metric. People who quit usually try 6 to 10 times. We don't punish you for being on attempt #4. — No badges, levels, trophies, or celebratory animations. — No "Hi, I'm an addict." You bought a product. You're done with it. — No weekly subscription. No $14.99/mo. Outro Full is one $39 payment, forever. The dispensaries milked you. We won't. — No selling your data. We don't share with insurers, advertisers, or your employer. You can export and delete everything any time. WHO THIS IS FOR If you're a daily user of modern high-potency cannabis — vape carts, concentrates, high-dose edibles, dispensary flower — and you've tried to stop more than once, Outro was built for you. If you're 40+, professional, and have been quietly using nightly for years, this is your app. If you started for sleep or stress and ended up at 100mg edibles or constant vape, this is your app. If you've been told cannabis isn't physically addictive and your body is currently telling you otherwise, this is your app. Today is Day 1. We're glad you're here. Outro provides educational content and self-tracking tools. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
