Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: DEApp at none against CoStudy's shown. DEApp also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). CoStudy's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 62%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CoStudy sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and DEApp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
CoStudy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CoStudy has 71 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of CoStudy's written reviews are positive against 62% of DEApp's.
CoStudy ships an update every 3 weeks, DEApp every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
